Course Description
The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to operate as an Early Childhood Development Practitioner. An Early Childhood Development Practitioner plans and prepares early childhood activities, facilitates and mediates learning, observes and assesses the progress of children, and reflects on learning in an inclusive, play-based environment to support holistic development of children (from conception – school going) in different centre-based or non-centre based settings.

Certification
Upon completion of this course, students will be awarded an Occupational Certificate for a NQF level 4 ECD: Early Childhood Development Practitioner
Tuition | Cost & Payment Plan
- The total cost to obtain the full qualification is R11,250 per learner.
- An application fee of R250 is required.
- A R2,000 registration fee is required which can be paid off over 4 months.
- The remaining R9000 can be paid off over 18 monthly instalments of R500 per month.
- No students will be allowed to participate in final assessments if fees are outstanding.
- Additional fee of R500 per month will be charged for each month beyond the course timeline.
- Additional Note:
Exam: To Be Confirmed (TBC). EISA Exams: Not included in the fee. The cost is centre-based.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
RPL for access to the external integrated summative assessment: Accredited providers and approved workplaces must apply the internal assessment criteria specified in the related curriculum document to establish and confirm prior learning. Accredited providers and workplaces must confirm prior learning by issuing a Statement of Results or certifying a Work Experience Record. RPL for access to the Qualification: Accredited providers and approved workplaces may recognise prior learning against the relevant access requirements.
